Malaysia is one of Southeast
Asia's most exotic, yet charming and comfortable countries
to visit. Just north of the equator, straddling the Indian
Ocean and the South China Sea, Malaysia has been a melting
pot of cultures since the early traders from the East met
those from the West. Strongly Islamic since the thirteenth
century, Malaysia consists of 13 states, each different from
the other, each with a different set of traditions. The country
is divided into two regions. The peninsula dangles from the
heels of Thailand next to Singapore. Malaysia's larger but
relatively remote section to the east - made up of the states
Sarawak and Sabah - occupies roughly the top third of the
Island Borneo.
The magnificent sandy beaches
stretch as far as the eye can see. The rustic charms of
Malaysia's beach retreats, nestled amidst idyllic fishing
villages, are a perfect getaway where one can witness the
art of boatmaking or watch fishermen bring their catch home
at sunset. After sampling the sunshine and the clear blue
waters of the country's beaches, treat yourself to the cool
serenity of Malaysia's hill resorts. The mountain resorts
are places to be with nature, and the tropical rainforests
are among the oldest in the world.
Diving Malaysian waters provide
a breathtaking underwater panorama. There are soft and hard
corals, luminescent fishes, invertebrates and in deeper
waters, larger denizens such as groupers and manta rays.
Diving is dramatically diversified and we can provide seasonality
and suggestions for the world class options!
For the tourist, Malaysia
is one of the more beautiful and appealing destinations
in Asia. With rapid economic progress, good infrastructure
and English widely spoken it has also become one of the
most accessible places to visit. The country sits just north
of the equator and the many picture perfect white sand beaches
stretch as far as the eye can see. |
