Committed to making a low impact on the environment, supporting the local culture, and helping generate jobs and income for local people, LiveWell Ventures offers many opportunities to travel sustainably. One of our main focuses is to practice what is sometimes called “responsible tourism” as a means of moving towards sustainable tourism. Responsible tourism asks that, instead of insisting that others act conscientiously, we take responsibility for our actions and the impact those actions have on the world around us.
How do we do this?
- By arranging travel opportunities that promote and support local business.
- By choosing and promoting vendors whose commitment to the environment is as passionate as ours and who are actively working towards sustainability.
- By practicing what we preach – making choices in our daily lives to be more responsible towards the environment.
- By offering experiences that will educate, enrich and inform our clientele of the region in which they are visiting.
- By building alliances out of respect and culture sensitivity, which in turn builds local pride and confidence.
