Residents of Dundee, Scotland have been urged to use health and sustainable travel to reduce greenhouse emissions and promote well being. Tagged as "Dundee Travel Active," the program is led by the Dundee City Council and backed by the Scottish Government's Smarter Choices.
Health Minister Shona Robinson states: "It's really important that we provide ways to make it easy for people to be more physically active in their everyday travelling."

UK's National Business Travel network (NBTN)1, part of the government's ACT on CO2 campaign, is urging business to implement what it calls "smart travel plans" for staff, in order to cut costs and reduce carbon emissions. The Native Energy site is good because it is underwritten by a number of credible organizations and the money goes to fund renewable energy. The Sustainable Travel International also funds renewable energy and considers all greenhouse gases, not just carbon. They both have calculators so people can easily calculate their own offset cost...
