Residents of Dundee, Scotland have been urged to use health and sustainable travel to reduce greenhouse emissions and promote well being. Tagged as "Dundee Travel Active," the program is led by the Dundee City Council and backed by the Scottish Government's Smarter Choices.
Health Minister Shona Robinson states: "It's really important that we provide ways to make it easy for people to be more physically active in their everyday travelling."

Although we at Live Well Ventures are all about getting away, we also maintain a passionate interest in what can be done between trips to promote sustainable living. UK's National Business Travel network (NBTN)1, part of the government's ACT on CO2 campaign, is urging business to implement what it calls "smart travel plans" for staff, in order to cut costs and reduce carbon emissions. While latest figures state that only 62% of UK companies help their employees in travelling sustainably to work, the need to reduce costly travel can aid companies in coping in these tough economic times.
