Day 01            Arrive Kochi (Cochin)

Arrive Kochi. Garland welcome, assistance and transfer to pre booked hotel.  O/n in hotel.

Day 02            Kochi

After breakfast sightseeing and visit Mattanchery Palace [closed on Friday’s], built by the Portuguese (1557) as a gift for the Raja of Kochi in exchange for trading rights; it was largely rebuilt by the new occupants, the Dutch. Further visit Jewish Synagogue [closed on Friday’s & Saturday’s] adjacent to the palace.  Afternoon visit Fort Kochi beach area to visit St. Francis Church originally dedicated to Santo Antonio, The Patron saint of Portugal. St. Francis Church is the first to reflect the new, European influenced tradition. After that visit will be to huge Chinese Fishing nets line the entrance to the harbours mouth.  Chinese traders are believed to have originally introduced them in the late 14^th century although, today, parts of the nets are known by Portuguese names. Evening we make a short drive to watch the dance-drama of Kerala – The Kathakali in a local theatre.   Back to hotel.  O/n Hotel.

Day 03            Kochi – Munnar

After breakfast drive to Munnar (about 140 km/ 04 hrs) through the cardamom hills.  Check into the hotel. Afternoon we explore the Rajamalai Wildlife Sanctuary proclaimed as a National Park since it supports the largest population of Nilgiri Thar existing in the world now. A wide variety of plant life is present here.  The Nilgiri Thar is seen in the Highlands and rocky regions of this national park. Explore the sanctuary by walk.  Back to hotel.  O/n in hotel.

Day 04            Munnar – Thekkady   (Periyar National Park)

After breakfast drive to Thekkady (about 105 km/ 03 hrs).  On arrival check in hotel. The road winds you through the tranquil countryside, plantations of rubber, pepper, tea, coffee and cardamom on Western Ghats. Check into the hotel. In the afternoon we explore the sanctuary by motorboat, with chances of sighting mammals like Elephants, Sambar, Wild Boars and a variety of bird life. Back to hotel. O/n Hotel.

Day 05            Thekkady – Alleppey

After early breakfast we enjoy a 3hrs.walk through the thick forest of Teak and Rose wood. Searching for the finest of the 246 species of birds and approx. 100 species of butterflies, we will also try to spot a Flying Squirrel .After 3hrs. easy and interesting walking,  drive to Alleppey (about 150 km/ 5 hrs).  Here we embark our houseboats that each comprise two twin rooms, with attached bathrooms, running water, and a lounge area in which to relax and enjoy the sights on the shore. Spice Coast Cruises is a journey down Kerala’s enchanting backwaters on a houseboat. We cruise for about 3 hrs through the backwaters and coconut groves, and then moor up for the night of Vembanad Lake.  O/n Houseboat.

Day 06            Alleppey – Kovalam

Morning after breakfast, disembark from the houseboat and drive towards Kovalam (about 180 km/04 hrs). On arrival check in Hotel, overlooking the gorgeous Arabian Sea and relax on the beautiful golden beach & take a optional Ayurveda massage. O/n in hotel.

Day 07            Kovalam – Trivandrum

After breakfast make a short drive to Trivandrum (about 13 km) the capital city of Kerala and transfer to international airport to connect Maldives for onward flight or take an international flight for your home country.

The cost includes only.

1.)    05 nights accommodation in hotels (Base Category Room) on bed and breakfast basis only except at Houseboat for 01 night in Alleppey which is on full board basis.

3.)    Entrance fees to all monuments/ National Parks as per the programme.
