Here at LiveWell Ventures, we do our best to preserve our natural habitat in our business practices and tour suggestions, enhancing our daily lives and your travel planning experience, while lessening our imprint on the planet.
LiveWell Ventures Inc and our 'Barn-loft Office' location, is a Certified Wildlife Habitat, recognized by the National Wildlife Federation.  We all take a personal interest both in and out of the office, to exercise accountable local responsibilities, environmentally.  Our effort is to effect the least global impact, in the many aspects of your vacation planning.

Bonnie, one of our Travel Consultants, an Eco-Cultural specialist, telecommutes only twice a week to conserve on fuel.  She stays in our Guest House on site to limit her carbon footprint, which sometimes requires the dog-kids to come along!  So if you hear barking, know we have a healthy and happy environment that includes our pets!  And Ken works from his remote satellite office, which takes some extra effort to manage, but it saves many hours in commute time and fuel …a quality of life agenda that we take seriously.  We are in the vacation business, and having more personal time for relaxation and family is our goal for ourselves, as well as for our clients!

Not only do our employees make changes and commitments to their daily routines to help conserve the environment, but LiveWell Ventures itself is an organic sustainable farm, raising well loved grass fed beef and a developing perennial edible forest, as an ongoing project.  We have a weekend produce stand and Trading Post for the community, and our building is a renovated barn to conserve the environment further, by eliminating the need and use of new building material.  Any re-construction as we grow have been made with recycled lumber that we scavenge locally.

It is the everyday little things that people do, that help make our environment cleaner and more efficient, and we take that to heart.  We have homemade meals avoiding unnecessary containers and wasted paper products, and enjoy fresh picked vegetables and fruits on site which keeps our dispositions cheerful! We also have a local community network and Trading Post here monthly called www.ShambalaExchange.com that is a seed exchange and perma-cultural trade network to locally re-use, re-cycle- and share services and talents, tools and resources as farming families on remote Camano Island.

We create programs that are responsible in their design and inclusions, by carefully qualifying our destinations & resorts to excercise sustainable tourism in their local environments. This is key to our choices, both ecologically and culturally.  We incorporate education, cooperative encounters and contributions with the locals,  and we support the resorts that have the same priorities, as our focused intention.  This way we can design a fulfilling program for you, and empower resorts and tour operators to manage and evolve the effort for preservation, by driving business their way in support.
